This walk from Burwash starts with fantastic views across the Rother Valley, as mainly field paths and short sections of quite country lanes are followed to Ticehurst. The village of Ticehurst is busy with a number of shops, pubs and a café making it a convenient place to stop for refreshments. As you enter the village you pass the impressive 14th Century Church.

From Ticehurst the walk continues to Bewl Water…a large reservoir which has a thirteen mile circular route that is open to cyclists and horse riders. This walk however only takes in approximately two miles of the shoreline.

Leaving Bewl Water the walk passes through Three Leg Cross a small village with a pub popular with cyclists and walkers doing the round Bewl water route. From here the walk continues through orchards before following quiet lanes to Stonegate village. Then it is field paths across the Rother valley back to Burwash.
