This walk follows the two footpaths that pass through Wadhurst Deer Park. You are almost guaranteed to see some deer. The start of the walk is across meadows with good views across the High Weald and then the open access area of Snape Wood is entered. This woodland is a mix of Pine, Chestnut, Birch and Oak trees crisscrossed by a network of paths. After crossing the railway line and passing Wenbans Oast the first part of Wadhurst Deer Park is entered. There is then a short section of road walking before a path south of Wadhurst Park Lake is followed through Batts Wood. After Batts Wood the second footpath through Wadhurst Park is followed giving good views of the lake. The walk continues across fields and along a quiet lane back to Wadhurst.
Start Public car park behind The Greyhound Inn on the High Street Wadhurst.
